Yes, there...I said it.

This morning I watched a bit of the Today show and Matt Lauer was talking about his interview that will be on the Dateline NBC special tonight with Britney Spears. They played a bit of the interview as well, complete with smiling Britney talking about being stalked and harrassed by the paparazzi (which eventually drove her to tears.)

She also mentioned how people constantly judge her.

Then the driving with her baby in her lap issue came up. Matt asked about people judging her mothering skills. She could have replied with some sorrow or remorse, but no. She said that her dad did the same thing with her..."hey, we're country" and THEN she said (and I might be paraphrasing slightly) "it was just for 5-miles or so down to the Starbucks."

Hello? How could anyone think it's ok to endanger your child for a quick 5-mile jaunt to get a latte at Starbucks? Oh yeah, a dolt could.

Of course I am judging her (bad me, bad me), but based off two things. Photos of her driving and then, her OWN words about the event. We live in a world where people judge everything. Maybe she is more of a victim due to the press. Then again, maybe not.
