Britney Needs Better Excuses

This Friday, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline will be back in court over the custody hearing issue. Britney ran a red light into oncoming traffic with the kids (and the court monitor) in the car while text-messaging at the same time, even though Kevin had requested her not to drive earlier in the case.

It’s not her fault though. Britney is all ready to go with the “I was practicing for a movie role” excuse. Oh wait, she’s already used that one. Well then this is the new one:

“Ms. Spears was being mobbed by paparazzi at the time,” her attorney Sorrell Trope tells PEOPLE. “She was distracted. This was not blatant irresponsible driving on her part.”

I’m not sure if the paparazzi forced her in the car and then chased her through the red light, so I think that excuse might not fly. Regarding her testing positive for the drug screen:

TMZ has learned Britney Spears will now say her false positive drug test may have been caused by her inhaler, which she uses for asthma.

What inhaler? I’ve seen like 10,000 photos of her over time and the only inhaling going on deals with cigarettes and food. She can drop a 6-pack of chalupas from Taco Bell in about a minute and thirty seconds, but I’ve never seen this asthma inhaler. Sounds fishy to me.
