Michael Vick Gets 23 Months

The verdict has been rendered and Michael Vick was sentenced to 23 months in prison today by the judge. Vick was charged for being involved with dogfighting, gambling on the fights, and killing some of the pit bulls that didn't perform. He could have gotten up to 5 years for the charges.
The 27-year-old acknowledged using "poor judgment" and added, "I'm willing to deal with the consequences and accept responsibility for my actions."
Some did not waver in their support for Michael Vick on Monday. At sentencing, the judge told Vick "you need to apologize to the millions of young people who looked up to you."
Although there is no parole in the federal system, rules governing time off for good behavior could reduce Vick's prison stay by about three months, resulting in a summer 2009 release.
"You were instrumental in promoting, funding and facilitating this cruel and inhumane sporting activity," Hudson told Vick.
I hope a few guys in prison show him a little doggie style in a real personal way. Now that would be some ironic justice.
