Ike Turner Dead at 76
Legendary wife beater (and guitarist) Ike Turner* has passed away. He died today and no cause of death has been announced as of yet.
Ike actually had a pretty awesome musical career, but will not be remembered for that. He will always be known as the man who whipped the business out of Angela Bassett Tina Turner during thier marriage. He actually discovered Tina as well as named her, but like I said he beat her like a drum for years so all that tends to fall out of your head.
Rest in Peace Ike and get out one last slap in the sky. Nom nay Ricky Ray Na Na (10 points if you get that).
*Yes I understand that the photo is of Laurence Fishburne. He plays the role of Ike in "What's Love Got to Do With It", but that's who I picture when you say Ike Turner.

I don’t think it’s fair that you have a picture of Larry Fishburne up. He has NOTHING to do with this story. I think it’s a slap in the face of Ike Turner because you didn’t even care to put his picture up. It’s also a slap in Mr. Fishburne’s face as well as Angela Bassett’s for being typecast. I like your site but I’m really disappointed in you for this. I don’t know if you care or not but it’s really disrespectful. Just thought you should know.

If you play the role in a major motion picture, it isn’t exactly typecasting. It’s casting. Glad it took so long for you to be disappointed in me.
