Jamie Lynn Spears Could Be Jailbait

Casey Aldridge is the guy that knocked up Jamie Lynn Spears and the fact that she’s only 16 has now just dawned on some people. If he was 19 when the two got busy, then he could be brought up on felony charges. His true age just hasn’t been reported yet.

Aldridge is believed to be 18 or 19.

There is still no word on where the sexual intercourse took place.

However, if it happened in Spears’ home state of Louisiana, and if Aldridge was 19 at the time, he could be charged with what the state calls “felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile,” which is defined as “sexual intercourse with consent between someone age 19 or older and someone between age 12 and 17.”

If he was under 19, then he might be charged with a misdemeanor. Laws vary from state-to-state.

When the news of this broke, the first thing I wondered about was her age but it seems in Louisiana they’re just a bit slower. They were probably more shocked that she wasn’t banging a cousin or something. Yeah, I’m going to hell for that one. Anyway, the police have said there’s no complaint filed and no criminal investigation in the works. Lynn Spears would probably have to file although she seems completely fine with her 16 year-old daughter having sex and getting pregnant. After all, she helped spread the news.
