Like I mentioned yesterday, Scarlett Johansson showed off her new engagement ring from Ryan Reynolds last night at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala in NYC. No details have been revealed about how he popped the big question or when and where they plan to get married, but I bet all that will be coming soon. Pretty amazing to think that just a couple years back Ryan was engaged to Alanis Morissette who will now probably be able to write a new man-hating album as a result of this announcement.

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are facing off in court today in what I'm calling "a ho down." There's going to be tension and drama over how Brit's mental stability seems and if she get some face-time with the kids.

On the agenda for tomorrow's hearing is the matter of the pop star's long-awaited, court-ordered psychiatric evaluation, which should include detailed medical reports on her mental state, as well as observations on her parenting skills.

Sources close to the case reveal to OK! that the results are a "mixed bag" - Brit-Brit has finally learned how to make her boys the focus of her attention. But, says the source, doctors feel she still has mental issues to contend with.

The evaluation, which lawyers for both sides of the case have had for two week, and which will almost certainly be discussed in a closed court, exists to aid Commissioner Gordon in ruling on Britney's requests for more visits and possible overnight stays with her young sons.

Looks like after dating for over a year, Ryan Reynolds is going to try and seal the deal to nab one of Hollywood's hottest women. Ryan and girlfriend Scarlett Johansson are now engaged and she's supposedly going to be showing off the ring soon.

"They're both thrilled," Johansson's rep Marcel Pariseau tells PEOPLE.

Reynolds, 31, currently filming the aptly named The Proposal in Boston with Sandra Bullock, recently popped the question to Johansson, 23. The couple have not set a wedding date.

I don't often see Beth Ostrosky so I figured I'd post this. I was just thinking that this chick is with radio shock-jock Howard Stern and I don't get it. She's quite a good looking lady. This is just one of those unexplainable "chicks with douchebags" issues.

It's pretty amazing when you find some creature in the world that you didn't know existed. Take this for example, it's some type of cave-woman that ended up in a park in England. Somehow it was able to figure out how to use some basic tools  like a cell phone. I'm not sure that it actually made a call, but it did use it to pick up some insects later.

Side Note: Amy Winehouse is nasty.

Lindsay Lohan is really trying to get her career back. She's so desperate that she's going to do television and be on ABC's Ugly Betty playing a "down-on-her-luck high school pal of Betty," according to Us Magazine.

She was so excited to shoot, a source tells Us, "Lindsay arrived on set 45 minutes early."

Adds the source, "Lindsay and America [Ferrera] really hit it off!"

Her show is going to air May 22 and supposedly she'll be in multiple episodes. I actually in a bit of shock over this because going on Ugly Betty is lower then I thought she would go. I expected her to blow some Hollywood producer or sleep with a writer or two. Maybe even put out a sex tape and parade around a beach nude, but to go on television? Her career really is crashing.
