Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo may be dating again, but it's supposedly on a "trial basis" as long as Papa Joe Simpson keeps from butting his nose into their business.

A pal from Romo's Eastern Illinois University tells the Chicago Sun-Times that the Dallas Cowboys quarterback "did agree to go to [sister Ashlee's] wedding -- keeping his promise to Jessica, but he made it super-clear that if they were to give it another go, her dad had to seriously back off."

Their relationship, the pal added, is "a trial thing," depending on Joe "leaving them alone" and not trying to manage Romo's life, career and endorsement deals.

We've always know that Papa Joe wanted to control his daughter's careers, but trying to control a boyfriend's life and endorsement deals? That's just crazy. No wonder Tony Romo wanted out. No incredibly luscious rack is worth that nonsense.

Sharon Stone blames China for the recent earthquakes that have killed thousands. She says their bad karma regarding Tibet is to blame.

"I'm not happy about the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans because I don't think anyone should be unkind to anyone else," Stone said Thursday during a Cannes Film Festival red-carpet interview with Hong Kong's Cable Entertainment News. "And then this earthquake and all this stuff happened, and then I thought, is that karma? When you're not nice that the bad things happen to you?"

And here I thought earthquakes were a result of volcanic activity and movement of the earth's crust. What do I know? All that science stuff is just silly anyway and karma is a much better explanation.

Back in March, Patrick Swayze supposedly only had five weeks to live and now he's updating all of us as to his condition.

She's also hot and that will help with the marketing, because hot chicks will always increase sales. If The Chipmunks had a hot chick they would have been bigger than The Beatles.

It looks like some big stuff is coming in the R Kelly child pornography and rape trial.

The bombshell witness in the R. Kelly trial -- a woman who claims she had a three-way with R. and the alleged victim - is due to testify today.

The defense is clearly rattled - they tried to force her removal from the witness list completely, but the judge nixed that. The woman, who lives in Georgia, is expected to ID the girl on the pee-pee tape and to verify that she was a minor at the time.

Yesterday, a woman who worked for Kelly reluctantly ID'd the singer as the guy in the tape.
