Mel Gibsons wife Robyn has filed for divorce after 28 years of marriage. The couple has been separated for a couple years, about the time he was making headlines being drunk. Anyway, now thanks to the marital laws in California…Mel is going to pay. Big time.
Sources tell us there is no prenuptial agreement — they were married in 1980, before Mel Gibson amassed a fortune estimated at $900 million back in 2006. Under the laws of California, community property — which includes earnings — is divided 50/50.
Robyn is also asking for spousal support and attorneys fees.
Half of $900 million? Ouch! That’s some serious cash. That should piss him off even more in the years to come and make him even more cranky. Good times.
