Chikezie was sent packing last night on American Idol and that sucks. Not that I thought he was as amazing as that David kid, but I thought he was an underdog so I liked him. of course that sneaky little Kristy Lee Cook should have been out, but like Simon said...singing "God Bless The USA" was the best song choice of all time. She had to get votes after that because if you didn't, then you're not a patriotic American. You'd be sent to Guantanamo Bay as a terrorist.

Chikezie was in the bottom three this week with dreadlock-stoner Jason Castro and Syesha Mercado. Damn I hate this show sometimes!

Thanks Jimmy for the email with the YouTube link, but I can't believe the mockery this performer makes of things. I don't know whatever backwater country this is from, but clearly they have no concept of the higher art-form that is the Idol. Then again, maybe this is the crappy auditions show, but with like 60 people sitting around clapping at his karaoke style...it didn't seem like it. I think A) that we should invade with shock and awe and 2) we should be dropping 8-track tapes of Clay Aiken over the whole country immediately.

David Hernandez was voted out on American Idol last night. Was it because of rumors about his days as a stripper in gay clubs? Could be, but I think his Beatles cover just sucked.

On Tuesday night, judge Simon Cowell ripped apart David's rendition of "I Saw Her Standing There," calling it "corny verging on desperate... like a rabbit in the headlights." And America apparently agreed, making the Arizona-native the first finalist to be eliminated this season.

But David appeared almost defiant in leaving the hit Fox show, telling TV viewers, "You'll see me at the top. This isn't it for me."

The whole "You'll see me again" type thing at the end was so much like a bad Scooby-Doo villain. You kids haven't seen the last of me. I'll get you, just you wait. Don't go away mad David...just go away.

The rock and roll chick Amanda Overmyer from American Idol has been busted for a whole bunch of speeding offenses and has even had one DUI. You might remember that right before she got to Hollywood she had a big car accident and even on the air one night said to the person who hit her "I'm sorry I turned in front of you dude."

Amanda's shocking driving record - six speeding violations, including one for going 100 mph in a 45 mph zone and another violation for running a red light - culminated in her arrest for drunk driving while speeding at 3:18 a.m. on Oct. 14, 2006.

She was pulled over for speeding by Crawfordsville, Ind., police officer Jared Colley, who noted that her eyes were bloodshot and her balance was poor.

Amanda posted a blood alcohol measure of 0.108 - above the legal limit of 0.08 - and spent six hours in the Montgomery County Jail before fiancé Casey Taylor posted her bail. She pleaded guilty.

Not only that, it seems she might even have some naked pictures out there floating around.

"If those pictures pop up on the Internet, Idol will have another huge scandal on its hands," a source close to the 23-year-old self-styled biker chick told The ENQUIRER.

I imagine they will eventually show up so I'm going to start a betting pool on whether she's got full, partial or no bush. Got to do something to pass the time, right?

Kady Malloy and Luke Menard

This last week I completely forgot to mention the other two contestants voted off, neither of which were in my favorites. Kady Malloy always failed to show the judges she was unique or had her own distinct style and I think she failed to show America too. Luke Menard, who my daughter always called Orlando Bloom, seemed too much of a one-trick pony to me and I actually saw him leaving pretty quickly anyway.

Now we're down to the Top 12 although many people are saying all of them are pretty lame. I still have a couple I like so we'll see what happens.

This week on American Idol we finally lost someone I liked, Asia'h Epperson. She was just adorable and the fact that she had lost her dad just a couple days before the audition just had me hooked on her personal story. It's a bummer. That was the bad obviously, because we also lost Danny Noriega who I had code-named "Girl Face" from the first audition. He was annoying if you ask me.
