I could have posted this yesterday, but I was thinking maybe it was a silly joke. Britney Spears got on a private jet with Mel Gibson and headed off for a couple days in Costa Rica at Mel’s private place. That’s just weird…

We spotted them leaving on a private plane to the Central American state early this morning. Sources tell us that Mel is taking Britney and her father JAMIE for a mini-vacation. We’ve learned they will be guests at Mel’s home in Costa Rica.

According to the terms of her custody Britney’s children cannot leave the country without special approval. There is no confirmation as to whether she sought approval and we’re told they are not joining her on the trip.

While the pop star and the actor may appear to be an unlikely duo, they used to live in the same Malibu community and were spotted having dinner together at Studio City’s Romanov restaurant in March.

Rumors say that Britney is pregnant too and starting to show a bit, so people are really trying to get photos to confirm. In the meantime she and her dad are hanging with Mel. Alright…where’s Ashton Kutcher hiding? You’re just screwing with us, right?

Dog the Bounty Hunter (aka: Duane Chapman) has started filming its fifth season and you know you’re going to watch it. The action, the suspense, the ultra-mullet hair, and his wife’s crazy tight outfits are all just too much for people to miss. A&E knows it’s a winner so they held a press conference that was certainly planned to every single word.

The Chapman family, A&E executives and a representative from a civil rights organization were part of a carefully choreographed press conference Wednesday to announce the relaunch of the show.

The message: Chapman deserves a second chance.

“It’s not about ratings,” A&E spokesman Michael Feeney said. “We know his heart. We know him and know he’s not a racist.”

Scott Lonker, vice president nonfiction and alternative programming at A&E, said viewer demand for the show also weighed in the decision.

Niger Innis, national chairman of the Congress of Racial Equality, said Chapman’s use of the racial slur was wrong. But he noted that Chapman “took ownership of the harm it caused” and “sought to turn his life around.”

I can’t wait to watch him catch a black person and then sit in the truck and lecture them about how much he loves them. That will be awesome. He’ll be trying to repent to all of America and explain how his Native American blood loves all races equally. As long as you’re not a part of his family that is.

So the outcome of crack-loving Amy Winehouse smoking crack on a video tape is that she will not be charged by the police.

“Police have confirmed that no action will be taken against Amy Winehouse in relation to an investigation into a video handed to them in January,” a rep for the British singer, 24, told Usmagazine.com.

“She was questioned by police last week and released on unconditional bail,” the rep added. “Amy’s bail date to return to Limehouse police station has been cancelled, bringing this matter to an end.”

U.K.’s The Sun published photos of the video in January. Winehouse spent nine hours talking to police on May 8.

Now how’s that for justice? It’s like having Hannibal Lector saying he loves to eat human flesh and having video tape of him actually eating human flesh and then watching him be released back into the world…to eat human flesh. She’s a junkie and being arrested would probably save her life, but I do have some money riding her on her in a Dead Pool so I guess it’s still a win for me so I can’t complain.

Brook Hogan was totally upset that her brother Nick Hogan (aka: Nick Bollea) was the victim in this whole case of street racing and the crash that left his friend critically injured. She wrote about it on her MySpace.

Amen! John wanted to be in that coma so he was never home with his parents. That’s the real truth sister and you tell it like it is. Nick’s the real victim here having to suffer prison time, probation, and having his good name ruined. The guy in the coma is just a side issue.

Mike Gilbert was a buddy of of O.J. Simpson’s is releasing a new book in a week or so where he talks about helping O.J. beat the murder charges by helping him bloat his hands so the gloves wouldn’t fit.

Gilbert’s book, “How I Helped O.J. Get Away With Murder: The Shocking Inside Story of Violence, Loyalty, Regret and Remorse” (Regnery Publishing, 232 pages, $27.95), is due in stores Monday. It was released to The Associated Press in advance.

He said Simpson had smoked pot, took a sleeping pill and was drinking beer when he confided at his Brentwood home weeks after his trial what happened the night of June 12, 1994. Simpson said he went to his ex-wife’s condominium, but did not bring a knife with him. Simpson told him Nicole Brown Simpson had one in her hand when she opened the door.

In a soft mumble, Simpson told him: “If she hadn’t opened that door with a knife in her hand … she’d still be alive.”

“Nothing more needed to be said,” Gilbert writes. “O.J. had confessed to me. There’s no doubt in my mind.”

So she had a knife in her hand and that was why she’s dead? Somehow he took the knife from her and then killed her and Ron Goldman while he was drunk, high, and on sleeping pills. He also happened to wear gloves to go over to her place. That was convenient.

Mischa Barton was photographed just a bit ago with bare breasts and cellulite on her butt. It’s helping to uncover a vast conspiracy though. It seems that some unknown “group” is out there trying to doctor photos of her and add fake cellulite via photoshop.

The fetching starlet is doubly horrified by a new batch of paparazzi beach shots - because they show not only her breasts, but legs that appear to be riddled with cellulite.

“Those photos are doctored,” Barton’s rep, Lisa Perkins, tells us. “I’m not saying she’s perfect, nobody is. But they’ve given a 22-year-old woman the legs and bottom of an 80-year-old.”

“Look at the shots that were taken shortly before on a beach in L.A. Did she develop all that cellulite in a couple of weeks? There’s a lot you can do with Photoshopping.
