Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s oldest boy Maddox showed off a cool blue mohawk hanging out with his dad in Venice, Italy. Damn! I wish I was allowed to have hair like that when I was a kid. Talk about cool parents.

Pitt, 44, is in town for Venice Film Festival, where he will premiere his new Coen Brothers crime comedy, Burn After Reading, on Wednesday.

Along with George Clooney, Pitt is also expected to attend a fundraiser Tuesday night for their charity, Not On Our Watch, which aids victims in the Darfur region of Sudan and the cyclone in Myanma, the AP reports.

Her manager, Larry Rudolph, told Ryan Seacrest that “Britney will not be performing at the VMAs… I’m telling you officially and unequivocally.” The singer is “in the middle of recording her next album, which is going amazingly well, and was never supposed to perform at the show,” according to Larry. Fans hoping to catch a glimpse of Brit on stage will just have to hit a Madonna concert, where she shows up in a video montage during the song “Human Nature.”

Paula Abdul is already talking smack about her new co-judge Kara DioGuardi on Fox’s American Idol. Anytime someone is worried about stuff like “audience acceptance” is just to chicken to say what they really feel.

On Phoenix’s 104.7 KISS FM Johnjay & Rich radio show Monday, she said she was excited but added, “I am concerned about the audience and acceptance. Time will tell. We’ll see.”

She said producers hired DioGuardi because they “wanted to try a change.

David and Victoria Beckham had serious car accident this weekend, but their both fine and thankfully…they have enough money to get a new car.

David was driving their black BMW and reportedly smashed the car laterally into a wall, causing extensive damage to the passenger side of the car. The windscreen was also smashed.

Victoria, who was riding in the passenger seat, was left severely shaken and teary and David was seen embracing her after the accident. However, duty called and David had to catch his flight. So the soccer star raced to the airport with Victoria’s father, Tony Adams, while Posh stayed behind with the car wreckage.

Tila Tequila’s new girlfriend Courtenay Semel got a little rowdy and then supposedly hit a hotel security guard on the head while in Las Vegas. Wonder if she was just being crazy or if she had a shot or two of tequila. Oh!

Semel, 28, daughter of former Yahoo! CEO Terry Semel and star of E!’s Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive, was not arrested, but she must pay a fine or face a Las Vegas justice court judge.

Las Vegas Metro Police Officer Jay Rivera tells PEOPLE that Semel “struck a hotel security guard in the back of the head” during an altercation at 4 a.m. Wednesday.

After lunching with her mom at P.F. Chang’s in Santa Monica recently, the actress had to sweet-talk her way out of a ticket for tossing her cigarette on the ground right in front of a policeman on a bike.

“The officer told Katherine to pick up the butt and throw it away in the trash, 10 feet away,” the source says. “He added that he’d fine her next time he catches her tossing trash on the sidewalk.”

Jessica Simpson is now a beer company owner, since she’s getting a percentage in the company. I’ve never heard of Stampede Light Plus though. What’s the “plus” anyway? Isn’t the purpose of a light beer to have a minus? Why would they add it back in?

Now she’s adding beer to the table as well:  it was announced today that she will be the new face of Stampede Light Plus, a beer marketed by Dallas’ Stampede Brewing Co. as a beer for active people.

She’ll appear in ads for the beverage and is also taking a 15 percent stake in the company.  Jessica said in a statement that she’s ”always looking for ways to diversify my portfolio with good ideas and good people.”

Ricky Martin now has twin boys via surrogate. I’m not sure why he couldn’t just get a woman pregnant himself though. Oh wait…now I remember.

While the paper reports that Obama has yet to inform his prospective vice-president of the nod, the candidate’s focus is primarily on three men: Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine, Sen. Evan Bayh of Indiana and foreign policy expert Sen. Joseph Biden of Delaware.

The Times cited unnamed advisers to the Democratic hopeful as saying Obama had reached his decision last week while on vacation in Hawaii.

Christian Bale is free and clear after supposedly assaulting his sister and mother last month. Looks like Batman is in the clear.

England’s Crown Prosecution Service announced on Thursday that there is insufficient evidence to afford a “realistic prospect of conviction.” They also declared the police to not pursue the case any further.

The allegations stem from an argument that occured between Christian and his mother and sister on July 21 at London’s Dorchester Hotel. After the police were notified that an incident had occurred, the actor voluntarily went to the police to discuss his side of the story. Through a rep, he has denied any wrongdoing

Zac Efron seems to be really girly for a dude. He used a curling iron recently to fix up his hair. It’s just not something that guys do.

The 20-year-old High School Musical star was so concerned about his hair backstage at the Teen Choice Awards on a hot and sticky Aug. 3, he asked to borrow a curling iron.

“One of the awards staff asked Zac who it was for, and he said [girlfriend] Vanessa Hudgens, but it was really for him!” says a source.

Shelley Malil is the actor I posted about who stabbed his girlfriend 20 or so times and is now facing charges. He pleaded Not guilty in court, but the story seems to be sort of damaging since there are couple witnesses.

If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of life in prison. (He also faces charges of special circumstances of premeditation, causing great bodily injury and using a deadly weapon.)

Prosecutor Steven Carver said Malil “appeared on the back patio of Kendra Beebe’s house Sunday … and attacked her with a knife while her two children slept upstairs,” according to the Associated Press.

Added Carver, “He came up and started stabbing her immediately without any words or argument.”

A man who was visiting Beebe disarmed Malil, who found a second knife inside the house and continued attacking Beebe, who was stabbed 20 times, Carver said.

A neighbor then found Malil on the front patio and took away the second weapon; the actor soon fled.

George Clooney says he has never emailed or texted Senator Barack Obama and offers a million dollars to anyone who could prove otherwise. I would never play poker with the man because if he’s bluffing…he’s really good at it.

The Oscar-winning actor was responding to last week’s Los Angeles Times story, which claimed that Clooney “frequently text messages the Illinois senator with whom he’s been friends for many years.”

Jennie Garth is talking about her former 90210 buddy Tori Spelling and saying that Tori should get just as much money as the other former members to be on the new spin-off show coming out. Personally, I think she should get the same cash. She’s probably help that show actually get more viewers because she’s got a decent following.

“I think she should definitely get paid as much as either of us is getting paid,” she adds. “Her father created the show. It just seems wrong if that’s the case. I don’t know what really happened because I haven’t talked to her. I would like to talk to her.”

On Monday, Spelling’s rep issued a statement saying that the actress had no plans to appear on the CW spin-off.

Angelina Jolie is supposedly in talks to replace Mr. Katie Holmes in the espionage thriller Edwin A. Salt. What that means is that Tom will have a fit and threaten the wrath of Xenu if his wife is not in the movie, but it all could have been avoided if she just did Batman the Dark Knight. I just like continuity is all.

The film that was once expected to star Tom, will be rewritten with Angelina in the starring role, says the story. The mother of six, who just gave birth to twins, is close to a deal to play the lead role, a CIA officer who’s accused of being a Russian spy and must prove her innocence.

So Lynne Spears is supposed to be having her big book of motherhood coming out, but when is that supposed to happen? I’s seems there’s plenty of confusion out there, which is probably similar to Lynne’s motherhood advice.
