Now this is all my own thinking here, but almost every public appearance I've seen of Anna Nicole Smith in the last few years was like a trainwreck. She either appeared drunk or drugged and perhaps both. Even on her reality show some years back, she seemed only coherent about half the time.

Now have a look at two of the last known photos taken of her.

And...

I think the signs have been there for a long time that the end was coming. She was battling depression from even before her son's death. She was battling her weight, the bed press, legal battles over her ex-husbands estate, and on top of all that...I rarely ever saw her not slurring or looking glassy-eyed.

The people around her should be ashamed for not doing an intervention of SOME kind long ago.

UsMagazine.com is stating that various sources at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino are saying that Anna Nicole Smith seemed to be having a drug overdose shortly before her death. One source says:

“Anna looked extremely bloated when she vomited out something white before having a seizure early this afternoon,” a hotel employee tells Us. “The reaction was so violent that people in the hotel thought she had some tragic food poisoning. But we were told it was a drug overdose by the people who saw it.” Another source said that Smith felt sick all week and had been experiencing headaches, stomach aches, nausea and flu-type symptoms in her final hours. Anna was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

At the same time, perspective father Larry Birkhead is still fighting to prove that he is the father of Anna Nicole’s 5-month-old daughter Dannielynn and is seeking a court order to test Anna Nicole's DNA.

This entire story is just crazy. Soon I bet there will be a huge fight one who gets custody of Dannielynn, because it seems there is a lot of money on the table. Soon, Elvis is going to re-appear to the world and claim he is the true father and seek custody.

I watched Access Hollywood last night (I couldn't help myself) and they were claiming that Anna Nicole Smith died by throwing up and then choking.

They said:

Anna Nicole Smith died yesterday at the age of 39. It appears that the cause of death may have been that she choked on her own vomit.

Access Hollywood's source claims that Smith took what was referred to as a "children's sedative," and had "kept passing out" before her death.

Anna's mother Vergie Arthur is claiming that her daughter did too many drugs and believes that's what killed her.

The mother of Anna Nicole blamed drugs Friday for her daughter's sudden death.

"I think she had too many drugs, just like Danny (Smith's late son)," her mother, Vergie Arthur, told ABC's "Good Morning America" on Friday. "I tried to warn her about drugs and the people that she hung around with. She didn't listen."

"She was too drugged up," Arthur said. "By the last interview I saw of her, she was so wasted."
