Christina Applegate has kicked cancer's ass and is on the road to recovery. It's a pretty hardcore deal she's gone through, but I'm sure she'll be a great role-model for many women facing the same thing.

Christina Applegate, who chose to have both of her breasts removed after one was found to contain cancerous lumps, will undergo breast reconstruction surgery over the next eight months.

"I didn't want to go back to the doctors every four months for testing and squishing and everything," she told Good Morning America in an interview that aired Tuesday.

"I just wanted to kind of get rid of this whole thing for me," she said of the prophylactic double mastectomy. "This was the choice that I made and it was a tough one.

"My decision, after looking at all the treatment plans that were possibilities for me, the only one that seemed the most logical and the one that was going to work for me was to have a bilateral mastectomy," she explained.

Applegate, the 36-year-old star of Samantha Who?, is now "absolutely 100 percent clear and clean" of cancer and planning reconstructive surgery.

"I'm going to have cute boobs 'til I'm 90, so there's that," she joked. "I'll have the best boobs in the nursing home. I'll be the envy of all the ladies around the bridge table."

The decision was an emotional one.

"Sometimes, you know, I cry," she said. "And sometimes I scream. And I get really angry. And I get really upset, you know, into wallowing in self-pity sometimes. And I think that it's all part of the healing."

George Clooney says he has never emailed or texted Senator Barack Obama and offers a million dollars to anyone who could prove otherwise. I would never play poker with the man because if he's bluffing...he's really good at it.

The Oscar-winning actor was responding to last week's Los Angeles Times story, which claimed that Clooney "frequently text messages the Illinois senator with whom he's been friends for many years."
Not true, said Clooney.

"I've spent more time with Senator [John] McCain ... than I have with Senator Obama ...," he said. "Although I support Senator Obama, I would never be dumb enough to offer policy advice to either candidate. They seem to be doing fine without me."Source

Jennie Garth is talking about her former 90210 buddy Tori Spelling and saying that Tori should get just as much money as the other former members to be on the new spin-off show coming out. Personally, I think she should get the same cash. She's probably help that show actually get more viewers because she's got a decent following.

"I think she should definitely get paid as much as either of us is getting paid," she adds. "Her father created the show. It just seems wrong if that’s the case. I don’t know what really happened because I haven’t talked to her. I would like to talk to her.”

On Monday, Spelling's rep issued a statement saying that the actress had no plans to appear on the CW spin-off.

The statement came after a deadlinehollywooddaily.com report claimed that Spelling was miffed that Garth and Shannen Doherty were earning "$35,000-$50,000" per episode when she was only getting "$10,000-$20,000" per episode.

News has come out that Christina Applegate has just been diagnosed with breast cancer, but it's in the very early stages. The news was just confirmed by her rep this weekend.

"Benefitting from early detection through a doctor ordered MRI, the cancer is not life threatening," the Emmy nominated Samantha Who? star's rep said in a statement. "Christina is following the recommended treatment of her doctors and will have a full recovery."

It's really a great thing that it was caught in early detection and it just helps illustrate the positive side of getting regular check-ups. Left for too long without detection and it can have a very dire outcome. Christina's mother had breast cancer according to the article, so this is a very personal thing for her. I hope she beats cancer's ass.

Christina Applegate's boyfriend Lee Grivas was found dead in his apartment last week by a concerned neighbor. It seems that he took too much heroin, which came as a total surprise to me. I guess there is a limit to how much heroin you can actually inject into your body. Interesting.

Grivas -- a fisherman, skateboarder and aspiring photographer -- died July 1.

An official cause of death has not been issued, pending toxicology tests. The death was reported as a possible accident or suicide.

The former Married.. With Children star met Grivas in 2006 while she was performing in the Broadway musical Sweet Charity.

The two began dating as her marriage to actor Johnathon Schaech unraveled, but she ended the relationship because she reportedly felt Grivas was too much of a free spirit.

A source close to Grivas told The National Enquirer: "Lee also had a long history of drug problems, dating back to his teen years. Christina broke up with him a number of times because of his struggles with getting clean. She loved him, but couldn't stand by and watch him ruin his life."

After the lovers reunited in April, Grivas left Christina in a last-ditch bid to get sober, according to the source.

"Christina loved Lee dearly and even dreamed of starting a family with him," the insider told The National Enquirer.

That's a real bummer for Christina, but when you date a junkie the chances are pretty high (pun intended) that they will die from their habit. I'm safe though because I can't die from licorice. Or roast beef sandwiches. I love those things.

Kate Hudson is at the top of the list in People Magazine's 100 Most Beautiful People issue, which is cool if you think she's all that.

Was she always such a head-turner? Admits the actress: "I was a tomboy. I had three brothers. I was the girl with the dress on that always came back in the house filthy with scrapes and bruises. But I was always very girly. I had to be able to twirl so that my underwear showed."
