Dog the Bounty Hunter (aka: Duane Chapman) has started filming its fifth season and you know you're going to watch it. The action, the suspense, the ultra-mullet hair, and his wife's crazy tight outfits are all just too much for people to miss. A&E knows it's a winner so they held a press conference that was certainly planned to every single word.

The Chapman family, A&E executives and a representative from a civil rights organization were part of a carefully choreographed press conference Wednesday to announce the relaunch of the show.

The message: Chapman deserves a second chance.

"It's not about ratings," A&E spokesman Michael Feeney said. "We know his heart. We know him and know he's not a racist."

Scott Lonker, vice president nonfiction and alternative programming at A&E, said viewer demand for the show also weighed in the decision.

Niger Innis, national chairman of the Congress of Racial Equality, said Chapman's use of the racial slur was wrong. But he noted that Chapman "took ownership of the harm it caused" and "sought to turn his life around."

I can't wait to watch him catch a black person and then sit in the truck and lecture them about how much he loves them. That will be awesome. He'll be trying to repent to all of America and explain how his Native American blood loves all races equally. As long as you're not a part of his family that is.

Dog Chapman appeared on Larry King Live for more apologizing and sucking up to the world. I would bet it's all just to recover his television career of course.

These two are just a trainwreck to watch though. He's got the crazy mullet with little forward point thing happening. I wonder if there's a name for that hairstyle? And why the hell is he always wearing those Oakley mp3 playing sunglasses from like 4 years ago? Don't you ever wonder what he's listening to with those things? Beth on the other hand always looks so crammed in those tops with all that cleavage showing. They've got to be like 30 pounds each.

Dog Chapman's excuse for why he went on the "N" word tirade during a recorded phone call with his son is a real whopper.

"I thought I was cool enough in the black world to be able to use that word as brother to brother."

He was on "Hannity & Colmes" for his first interviewtrying to defend himself and his career on television. He stated he would kill himself if he could to make things better. I can't believe he followed up that stupidity of the phone call with more stupidity of that idiotic excuse. People would probably forgive him faster if he just said he's a racist and he'll seek help. He's now just looking for someone to throw the poor Dog a bone.

Will I ever get tired of the lame Dog jokes? Probably not, but I thought I was cool enough in the blog world to be able to use them.

This video is pretty funny really. It's Dog Chapman's oldest Christopher saying that his dad isn't a racist at all.

He said he's only heard his dad say the "N" word a couple times ever so his dad's not a racist. I can't imagine someone that has "only" said it a couple times then just happens to drop it like 5 times in 40 seconds on a phone call. I call BS on that one. What do you think?

Dog Chapman the Bounty Hunter has made a bunch of apologies and even called Rev. Al Sharpton personally, but A&E is still going to take Dog The Bounty Hunter out of the network lineup. It's hasn't been canceled yet, just taken off the air.

Dog said:

"My sincerest, heartfelt apologies go out to every person I have offended for my regrettable use of very inappropriate language. I am deeply disappointed in myself for speaking out of anger to my son and using such a hateful term in a private phone conversation. It was completely taken out of context. I was disappointed in his choice of a friend, not due to her race, but her character. However, I should have never used that term.

I am meeting with my spiritual adviser, Rev. Tim Storey, and hope to meet with other black leaders so they can see who I really am and teach me the right thing to do to make things right, again. I know that all of my fans are deeply disappointed in me, as well, as I have tried to be a model for doing the right thing. I did not do the right thing this time, and hope you will forgive me. We learn from our mistakes, as my story of overcoming a life of crime has proven, and I will learn from this one for the rest of my life."

A&E has said in response:

"In evaluating the circumstances of the last few days, A&E has decided to take "Dog The Bounty Hunter" off the network's schedule for the foreseeable future Friday. We hope that Mr. Chapman continues the healing process that he has begun."

I think A&E didn't like the part where he says it was "completely taken out of context" since a hate term is a hate term. Dog is an asshole, but I don't mean it like a dirty asshole. America would think I mean he's an asshole though.

Can you not see how this type of thing is far-reaching and hurts everyone? My late night television is totally screwed now.

Dog the Bounty Hunter's son Tucker was the one that sold the tape of the racist outburst. Tucker is the one dating the girl that Dog was calling the "N" word. Dog was saying Tucker couldn't get a job with the family because everyone uses the "N" word and America wouldn't understand.

All you had to do was look at the clues and I'm not even a trained hunter.

• 2 people on the phone and Dog didn't do it
• Dog mentioned National Enquirer and magically they got it
• the son wanted money and needed help looking for a job

My gut tells me it was the son. I'm pretty sure.

As it turns out, it was Tucker Chapman, who recorded the conversation then sold it to the National Enquirer for "a lot of money" according to Dog's attorney.Dog Chapman immediately apologized for his tirade after the conversation became public and released a statement saying he had the "utmost respect and aloha for black people who have suffered so much due to racial discrimination and acts of hatred."

"I did not mean to add yet another slap in the face to an entire race of people who have brought so many gifts to this world. I am ashamed of myself and I pledge to do whatever I can to repair this damage I have caused."

I know one thing he can start doing to repair things. STOP SAYING THE "N" WORD! He really seems bothered that he can't say it. Ethnically I believe he's "Hawaiian-Indio-Cauasion-Biker-Euro-Asian-ese" or something. I think he's honestly sold himself the fantasy that he's not white, so he's entitled to say it.
