Gary Busey is always such a trip. In the video clip below he gives some kid a hard time at the Oscars and all the kid wanted was a bit of an interview and a shoutout.

So you remember from yesterday, the whole Gary Busey kissing Jennifer Garner on the neck at the Oscars and being generally creepy to Ryan Seacrest. Well, today Gary called Ryan's morning radio show to apologize as only he can.

Well, what I wanted to do was when I first saw you working, I said, "Who is this guy?" And I said, "Oh God, this isn't going to work." And then you captured me. You are to me, when you're working, an innocent champion of honesty. Your heart has a way to embrace the truth in your delivery without looking like you are reading a script. Everything looks spontaneous. What spontaneity is—spontaneity comes from an invisible idea that is there before the creation began. And you have that naturally, so I just wanted to pay you a compliment. But I didn't know you were in the middle of an interview, I was just moving through there.

How creepy is that? Especially the part about how Ryan "captured" him and the whole thing about spontaneity was there before creation? Just to put things in perspective for younglings, in 1988 he crashed hard in a motorcycle accident. He wasn't wearing a helmet and his skull was fractured so doctors feared he might suffer permanent brain damage. I'm guessing the docs were right.

Gary Busey was at the 2008 Academy Awards because they seem to give invitations to anyone. He was walking the red carpet and he went right for Ryan Seacrest. We all know exactly what Gary Busey will do, right? He'll act crazy and make everyone feel really awkward. He chats up Ryan Seacrest and kisses Jennifer Garner on the next and freaks her out.

I like how Ryan says at the end "we'll meet up at that party" and ditches Gary. That's how you deal with crazy. Confuse them. See for yourself.
