Hayden Panettiere's dad is out of jail just one day after he was arrested for "allegedly" punched his wife in the face three times. Alan "Skip" Panettiere is now out and supposedly is talking with his wife Lesley Panettiere.

"It was all a big misunderstanding," the parents of the Heroes star tell TV's Extra, claiming that "nothing actually happened... Lesley wasn't even aware that Skip had been arrested."Extra's Mario Lopez also reports that Hayden, who lives near her parents in her own home, was not in their house during the arrest in the early hours of Monday morning and didn't find out found out about the incident until her father called her from jail.

According to the report, Mr. and Mrs. Panettiere "love each other very much and want everyone to know that the matter was completely blown out of proportion."

Well, it sounds like he learned his wife real good and she's not going to accuse, errr...I mean disrespect him again. The Sheriff's Dept. said she'd been "struck three times," so I'm not really clear on how that's a misunderstanding that's blown out of proportion. Sounds good though.

It seems that after a party Hayden Panettiere had, her father Alan gave her mother something like a hard slap to the face a couple times...only with his fist. He was then arrested early Monday morning for felony domestic violence.

"The mother called police shortly before 3 a.m., and Mr. Panettiere was taken into custody," Sgt. Wolf added. "He's been cooperative. Earlier, they were at a party and the husband apparently felt disrespected by his wife."

On Sunday evening, Hayden hosted a benefit for the Whaleman Foundation at Eva Longoria's Beso restaurant in Hollywood, also attended by her parents.lf said that Alan Panettiere, 49, who has not yet given deputies his version of events, was arrested on the felony charge instead of a misdemeanor because "there were visible signs of injury" on 52-year-old Lesley Vogel's face.

So he felt disrespected and then punched her in the face? Guys that punch women are such losers. You just never hit a woman. Unless she comes at you with a bottle. Then it's self-defense.

Hayden Panettiere is back filming Heroes and had a little moment in the set with her boyfriend Milo Ventimiglia who's also on the show. She is the 18-year old with the power to heal and he's the 31-year old with the power to get hot young chicks. I have no idea what they're doing in these pictures, but it seems clear that he wants to get her up against that trailer for some reason. I'm guessing the tiny denim shorts could be the culprit here. I can't blame the guy.

Now Hayden Panettiere must have been real fun to have for a sleepover. She recently commented in UK Glamour magazine that she would practice her kissing skills with her best friend.

"It's great to be single. It's great to have boyfriends. Or girlfriends. There are occasions when you kiss your best friend growing up, having fun and goofing about. Like perfecting your technique!"

I really think we should have some pictures of that. Is that too much to ask? Is it?

No really. She loves them so much it's scary. Hayden Panettiere was around to support "World Children's Day" and possibly "White Lady Put Me Down Day" in Philadelphia. I know kids are cute and all, but she goes all nutty around them. I bet when she's older she's going to be a cheek pincher. Mark my words.
