Angelina Jolie is supposedly in talks to replace Mr. Katie Holmes in the espionage thriller Edwin A. Salt. What that means is that Tom will have a fit and threaten the wrath of Xenu if his wife is not in the movie, but it all could have been avoided if she just did Batman the Dark Knight. I just like continuity is all.

The film that was once expected to star Tom, will be rewritten with Angelina in the starring role, says the story. The mother of six, who just gave birth to twins, is close to a deal to play the lead role, a CIA officer who's accused of being a Russian spy and must prove her innocence.

Scarlett Johansson is talking about kissing and it's not with Ryan Reynolds. It's with Penelope Cruz!

In the film, the actress shares a controversial smooch with Cruz--one that Johansson admits was more pleasant than she anticipated.

"Everybody wants to know what it was like," she says in an interview with Parade.com.   "Penelope had less facial hair than a guy so it was certainly more pleasant. It  was better than kissing Jonathan Rhys-Meyers in Match Point. Kissing him wasn't that bad, but he did have to stop and shave in the middle of a scene even though he'd shaved that morning. The man has really got some beard on him."

Carrie Underwood admits she has some relationship problems and that ex-boyfriend Tony Romo still calls her once in a while.

"We were both small-town people doing very big things, and we relied on each other, dealing with fame," she says of Romo. "I don't know. The phone will ring and it'll be him, and I'll maybe not answer."

According to The Scoop over at MSNBC, Tom Cruise is going in for a second round with Oprah. Nobody who has seen it has managed to forget his couch jumping, faux declarations of love 2 years ago.

Is it wrong I'm hoping he brings Katie-bot and Suri (The Most Gorgeously Creepy Baby Alive) along for the ride?

This so has to be a sweeps thing because another episode slated for the 30th has David Blaine attempting to beat the record for holding your breath under water. He has apparently run out of magic and has downgraded to stunts kids pull at Summer Camp.

Those are the latest reports that claim Katie Holmes wants to take daughter Suri to New York City with her, alone. She's been offered a role on Broadway and wants to get away from her controlling husband Tom Cruise in a trial separation.

"She desperately needs to be on her own for a while, but there's no way Tom is going to let her take Suri away," an insider tells Star. "There's no way he'll allow it. He just doesn't want Katie - or Suri - out of his sight for long. He told her that if she goes to New York, fine, but he goes with her."

Further, the couple's tug of war over their daughter has intensified as of late.

"Tom wants to call all the shots when it comes to Suri," says an insider. "He has a lot of rules, and there's conflict."

Supposedly Tom Cruise had trouble meeting women after splitting from then-girlfriend Penelope Cruz. Now an ex-Scientologist named Marc Headley is saying Tom called on the power of Xenu and the church to help him capture a new soul find a perspective mate.

So the church sent out a casting call that said, "There's an upcoming Tom Cruise movie you might get a part in. Come for an audition." There were of course restrictions: You had to be single, pretty and in your twenties.

While a few female Scientologists were rounded up - Traffic's Erika Christensen and CSI: Miami's Sofia Milos - they were all rejected as Tom focused his attention on bigger stars. "They went for Jennifer Garner, Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Alba, in that order," Marc says. "Jennifer and Jessica didn't bite but Scarlett took the bait and came in for an audition. When she arrived and found out it was the Scientology Center in Hollywood, she freaked out and didn't do a tape..."

So you hear about some "audition" and then show up and "do a tape" for some stranger? If only they would have asked me, I'd have told them that trick never works and the ladies always freak out. Well, mostly never works. But I digress...we know that the story ends with Tom nabbing Katie Holmes, so did she do a tape for the church? Or is the tape fort Tom? What is a tape for Scientology about anyway? So many questions and no answers.
