I've never been all big into Mariah Carey who was just at the MTV Video Music Awards in Japan, but I have to admit...she's got something that makes her strangely attractive to me. Maybe it's just the body-hugging dress that's clouded my brain though. I always did like red.

Mariah Carey was in Japan the other day and I didn't even bother posting the pictures because they bored me. The video is far more impressive anyway because she was taken to the mound to throw the opening pitch for a baseball game at the Tokyo Dome yesterday and she rolled it right on in to the catcher. I really don't get how people can't throw stuff. Monkeys can fling poop quite well and they don't have opposable thumbs for crying out loud!

Mariah Carey has confirmed it herself that she married Nick Cannon while in that Bahamas and she's also said straight out that they have a prenuptial agreements to protect their respective bank accounts. He's got a few million and she's got like $100 million. Who's counting though?

Mariah apparently told a mutual pal of ours: "Anyone who thinks we didn't have a prenup is smoking something!"

This is not the Mariah Carey of old. She is a smart, smart businesswoman. For example: Post-Tommy Mottola, Carey nabbed $50 million from her short-lived deal with Virgin Records. After "Glitter," they just paid her all that to walk away!

She’s had three hit albums since then: "Charmbracelet," "Emancipation of Mimi" and the current "E=MC2." She has her own perfume line, as well. Mariah also has substantial real estate holdings, and let’s not forget the publishing royalties. Her name is on every song. This is not Whitney. She has a small fortune, and she’s not about to lose it, even in love.

I really like happy love stories. This one is about a girl who sleeps in a giant humidifier and has slept with Eminem, finding true love with a man who clearly likes her large chest and impressive booty. They decided to become man and wife and if things don't work out, then nobody is out any money at all. That kind of love is normally what you see in a boardroom isn't it? Let's team up and screw each other until we're bored and then we'll split while retaining our individual assets and holdings. Brings a tear to my eye.

Now it's been confirmed that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon and indeed married!

Family member Linda Cannon has confirmed to E! News that the couple are, in fact, married.

"Yes, we know," she says. "He called us and told us all about it. We are happy for him. If that is what he wants then we are happy for him."

Linda Cannon wouldn't confirm an earlier report that had the impromptu nuptials taking place yesterday at Carey's new home in the Bahamas, only that Nick and his platinum-selling girlfriend have made it official.

"I'm not going to give you any details, but we are happy for him."

Earlier today, a rep for jeweler Jacob & Co. confirmed that Cannon shelled out $2.5 million for the 17-carat finger candy spotted recently on Carey's left hand.

He dropped over two million on a ring? That's got to be some good boom-boom if you know what I'm saying. I guess now is time to start a betting pool on how long it will last. It can't be more then 2 years, tops.

Us magazine is saying that Latina magazine is saying that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have gotten married. Confused yet? It hasn't been confirmed that the two even an item, but maybe it's been a secret. Shhh!

The two got hitched in a small ceremony on an island Wednesday, according to the magazine. They quote a source as saying it was "very implusive."

Rapper Da Brat attended, the magazine says.

Cannon's ex-fiancée, model Selita Ebanks, tells Usmagazine.com, "I have no comment but wish them well."

Longtime pals, Carey, 38, and the 27-year-old rapper-actor connected when he directed the video for her latest single, "Bye Bye," in late March.

If this is true, then Nick got down to business real fast. Hit it and then married it, which is the opposite of what I teach people. He wasn't a student of mine though.
