Oprah is still pushing for Barack Obama and she even plans to be at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, CO on Thursday, August 28 when his gives his acceptance speech.
"Oprah has not been asked to introduce him, is not expecting to be asked to introduce him and I would doubt that she would want to introduce him. She thinks this is HIS moment. I know that she is planning to be there."

She's just a high profile supporter so she's getting the eyeball right now, but it's cool that she's going to let him just do his thing. The next President of America doesn't need much help, he's solid.

I don't break out the lolcats! often so you know this is important.
According to The Scoop over at MSNBC, Tom Cruise is going in for a second round with Oprah. Nobody who has seen it has managed to forget his couch jumping, faux declarations of love 2 years ago.
Is it wrong I'm hoping he brings Katie-bot and Suri (The Most Gorgeously Creepy Baby Alive) along for the ride?
This so has to be a sweeps thing because another episode slated for the 30th has David Blaine attempting to beat the record for holding your breath under water. He has apparently run out of magic and has downgraded to stunts kids pull at Summer Camp.
What do you think Oprah will do...Will Tom get grilled or is it time to make nice lest she incur Suri's wrath? Discuss!!

The artist that created the statue of Britney Spears giving birth doggy-style or the much celebrated Paris Hilton during an autopsy has created something new and wonderful. Daniel Edwards has now created The Oprah Sarcophagus. In case you didn't know...the statue represents world famous talk-show host Oprah Winfrey. I know! I didn't know right away either!
This is one hot piece of work, but I wish it was a nude statue. Now that would be awesome!

Some guy that tried to extort from Oprah last year is still making waves. Keifer Bonvillain claims he has tape recordings of a senior Harpo employee telling some serious dirt about the talk show host.

Last year, Keifer Bonvillain was hit with a federal extortion charge after he allegedly tried to sell Winfrey audiotapes for $1.5 million of a high-ranking Harpo employee bad-mouthing her. But the charge didn't hold up in an Illinois court. Now Bonvillain, 37, who touts himself as a Louisiana-born "civil-rights activist," has launched a Web site in a bid to get a publisher for his exposé, titled "Ruthless."
Bonvillain plans to bring down Oprah with his book
Bonvillain vows to disclose that Harpo may have been involved in "blatant discrimination . . . This CEO not only knows about these practices . . . she condones them . . . Hours of taped conversations . . . reveal what they don't want the public to know about [Oprah's] private life, and a business that prides itself on its diversity."

If the "discrimination" that this guy recorded is Oprah not wanting to hire more lesbians for her girls school in Africa, then it's not such a bad deal. With the scandals going on for that, she might be trying to actually help the kids. The funny thing is that in all my years in the workforce, every place I've ever worked discriminates in some way. From big corporations to small companies. The person you interview with can say whatever they want and get away with it. It's all a bunch of crap and if you think you're really protected...you're fooling yourself.
