According to a People.com article:

he marriage, however, is not a legal union, according to the mayor's office in Saint-Tropez. "It was just a celebration," said a spokeswoman for the office, who explained that in France couples are required to have a civil wedding at the mayor's office in order for it to be legal.

Anderson and Rock (real name: Robert Ritchie) do plan to tie the knot in the U.S. "several times" soon. "I'm going to get married a few times this month to the same guy," Anderson, 39, said July 26 during a news conference in Las Vegas. "We had to do Malibu, we've got to do Detroit, and we've got to do Nashville."

So recently in the news I heard that Pam and longtime boyfriend Kid Rock are getting married. They started dating in 2001 and were engaged at one point before it was called off. Looks like now, it's back on again and could happen in just a matter of days.

Yes. I'm finally getting remarried...it's been a whirlwind...spontaneous but well thought through. Feels like I've been stuck in a time warp. Not able to let go of MY family picture...it's been sad and lonely and frustrating....I've raised my kids alone in hope of a miracle. Well my miracle came and went. And came back and came back because he knew that I'd wake up one day and realize that I was waiting for nothing. I'm moving on...I feel like I'm finally free....I'm in love. I'm happy....I see the light...sounds dramatic but it's true.....I know some women can relate to this....My children are getting older. They know the truth and they are strong, smart kids. I did see a recent interview with Kid Rock and when he was commenting on Pam (very casually), it was pretty clear he was really heartbroken from breaking up with her. I guess he just kept on trying. Pam hoped for a miracle, and that miracle has a name...Kid Rock. Go figure.
