NBC has agreed to pay as much as $1 million for Paris Hilton's first after-jail interview, which will appear on the "Today" show, The Post has learned. Sources told The Post the sit-down will be conducted by Meredith Vieira the day after the heir-head is sprung some time next week. The deal has infuriated ABC executives, the sources said, because they were banking on Hilton's first remarks as a free woman going to Barbara Walters, who has become close with Hilton's mom, Kathy. ABC was the front-runner until NBC Universal boss Jeff Zucker personally called Hilton's father Rick and made the pitch, the sources said.

Al Sharpton has now entered the fray. Of course it was only a matter of time before the race card was pulled, right? Earlier in the saga it was the money card, and now Sharpton has stated that he believes Baca reassigned the 26-year-old socialite to house arrest because she is rich and white.

Sharpton, the founder and president of the National Action Network, met with reporters after the meeting, saying, "I told him what prompted this is the feeling that ... there is an unfairness in how reassignment and early releases have been meted out."

One reporter asked Sharpton the burning question everyone wonders about whenever the Reverend intervenes in a story: Why are you here? To which he replied, "If I lead a national organization, and citizens in the county who are members of the organization call for us to get involved, the question is, 'Why wouldn't I get involved?'"

Of course it's because she's rich and white. Also that she cried alot, refused to eat, and her $2000 an hour doctor figured she was close to a breakdown. She also didn't have her make-up and hair people. that would cause anyone to have a breakdown.

It seem that after a few days behind bars not eating and crying, Paris Hilton had some free time and called Barbara Walters to speak about her situation. She made the shocking claim that "God has released" her spirit and that she is a changed person.

Walters recounted their little chat on "The View" this morning. Among the highlights: Paris says her "act" until now -- namely, playing a blonde heirhead -- is over, and that she's a totally different person after just a few days of jail. Indeed, proclaims Paris, "God has released" her spirit from its previous, uh, incarnation.

I guess now she's claiming she going to actually help real issues in this world instead of just partying and looking "hot" all the time. She wants to champion causes like breast cancer or help disabled children. She been saved from the sounds of it. She spoke of those great and notable things, oh...and also that her skin is dry without moisturizer.

Isn't it amazing? There are a few knowns in this world such as: all convicts are "innocent" or how they all find God in prision. Are these just lies attempting to help sway the media and people's opinions of her? Of course they are. She's an evil marketing genius after all.

Paris Hilton's good friend decided to write an open letter to the Judge regarding the order that she be returned to jail. I'm not sure who this Jennifer Rovero is, but she's silly.

Sheriff Baca is coming from a place of knowledge with regard to his prisons and his prisoners well-being. We should trust in him. He is a stand up man who was voted into office. He was not being generous. He was being practical and just, and speaking from years of experience on the front lines of L.A. justice. It's clear as day that her stay has impacted her greatly.

She is a forever changed woman.

Two days in jail for drunk driving and Paris has been impacted greatly and forever changed? Yeah, she's learned that she's just like ever other drunk driver in the world. They get punished when the drive drunk. They loose their license and are not supposed to drive again. In this case it's someone who could afford to have a limo 24-hours a day while she gets smashed. That's even worse.

She also goes on to say:

Also, I would like to set the record straight that there was no party in motion for this weekend. When she was released she was still very upset, to the point of being physically ill -- and partying was the furthest thing from her mind.

There was no party "in motion" for the weekend. That was a damn funny statement. But seriously, this whole letter is silly. Why do people think this crap will work?

Now, I've had a few scrapes with Johnny Law in my sordid past and I have to say, I wish I had a kind and loving Sheriff that knew when I'd had enough and let me go too. He'd be on my Christmas list. Or my campaign fund list. Whatever...

In a shocking turn of events, debutant Paris Hilton was taken in to court today and then at the Judge's orders...taken back to jail. She was crying and very visibly upset.

Paris Hilton was sent screaming and crying back to jail Friday after a judge ruled that she must serve out her sentence behind bars rather than in the comfort of her Hollywood Hills home."It's not right!" shouted Hilton, who violated her probation in a reckless driving case. "Mom!" she cried out to her mother.

Now that is kind of funny to me. I was actually shocked she got out in the first place after being supposedly "about to suffer a nervous breakdown" or something. You can actually substitute "breackdown" for "hissy-fit" in that last sentence.

She cried throughout the hearing, dabbing her eyes, and her body shook constantly. Several times she turned to her parents, seated behind her in the courtroom, and mouthed, "I love you."

Hilton was taken to a treatment center at the downtown Twin Towers jail for medical and psychiatric examination to determine which facility she will be held in, said sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore.

"She'll be there for at least a couple of days," he said.

She's been ordered to actually server the full 45 days now, but she could be released to home detention again for good behavior. This is just like I wished for on that start last night. Starlight, star bright, first star I see tonight...

Paris Hilton cries just like some of those people she's made fun of over the years, you know...the blacks, the poor, the not so beautiful, and basically everyone not like her. I actually saw this clip and was sad myself.

Not for her jail sentence, but sad that I wasn't the one to make her cry. That would be awesome!

It's "highly unlikely" that celebutard-turned-criminal Paris Hilton will serve her full 45-day sentence, a spokesman for the L.A. County Sheriff's office told The Post today.

"For every day you serve, you earn a day's credit," said the spokesman. "So it's likely she will serve only 22 to 23 days of her sentence,"

Sean Tabibian, a longtime Los Angeles defense Attorney who has had many clients receive the same sentence, said it could get even better for Hilton, who was given the jail term for violating the terms of her probation on a drunk driving charge.

Due to "overburdening," the Los Angeles county jail system moves people in and out like an assembly line.

This means Paris may do even less than half the time - she could do as little as 10 percent, or four to five days.

I just read that article and all I really was seeing was blah, blah, blah. I would almost be willing to let some dangerous criminal out of jail to make room for Paris. Oh yeah...and she still DRIVING. Paris was photographed just yesterday by metro.co.uk driving around in her bentley. The judge was right. She totally doesn't care.
