It seems the rumors are on, then off and now on again that the LAPD "might" do some investigating into the matter of Britney Spears allegedly being drugged by Sam Lutfi.

In a statement to AP, Police Captain Kyle Jackson says the claims "are being considered," though a formal investigation has not been launched. The Robbery-Homicide division will determine what, if any, laws have been violated.

Jackson added that no suspect has been identified.

Britney's mother, Lynne Spears, claimed in recent court papers that the pop star's former manager Sam Lutfi drugged her, cut her home phone and yelled at her.

I always thought Sam Lutfi was an evil little troll until I read this today and realized that perhaps he was just being a good parent. We all know that Britney is nuts and was totally screwing up her life. He might have drugged her to chill her out a bit and then cut her phones so that she wouldn't continue to do stupid stuff. I realize it might not be the best tactic, but her real parents hospitalized her and then took away her legal rights to control her life.

The two methods really similar if you think about it. One just happens to be illegal.

Finally the process servers managed to catch Osama "Sam" Lutfi as he came out of his apartment this morning at about 11am. The restraining order is temporary and intended to keep him away from Britney Spears and her family.

The order was sought by the temporary co-conservators of Spears's $100 million estate - her father Jamie and an attorney, who allege that Lutfi had avoided being served for three weeks.

The temporary restraining order, which forbids Lutfi from getting within 250 yards of Spears, her homes and her family's homes, alleges: "Mr. Lutfi has drugged Britney. He has cut Britney's home phone line and removed her cell phone chargers. He claims to control everything."

It's about time they tracked this guy down. It only took a few weeks despite the fact he showed up at events and was spotted by the paparazzi all the time. They should have just had one of them serve him. They would have gotten him the first day. Anyway, now he can add this one to the collect of 4 or 5 that he already has against him from various people. Yeah...he's loved.

Supposedly, evil little troll Sam Lutfi is being investigated by the LAPD for drugging Britney Spears. It's even rumored that they were looking into things before she was hospitalized.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the LAPD investigation into Sam Lutfi allegedly drugging Britney Spears is well underway.

We're told the case has now been assigned to Robbery Homicide, primarily because of the sensitive nature of the allegations and the intense media interest in Britney Spears. Sources say investigators have interviewed several witnesses regarding the drugs in Brit's system at the time she was most recently committed.

Some other gossip (X-17 Online) is saying that there is no investigation happening, so it makes this whole story a moot point. Of course in Britney's case, maybe it's a moo point. Either way, you just wasted a minute or two reading this and you have no more knowledge of the matter then when you started. What fun!

Sam Lutfi is pretty much just an idiot thug according to most accounts about him. He's supposedly has a mean temper and has several restraining orders against him for harassment. The Spears family says he drugged, verbally abused and tried to get money from Britney Spears.

Sam Lutfi "made various demands" of Britney Spears, "including demands for money," claim court documents in the singer's conservatorship case.

The revelation was part of a declaration submitted by attorney Jeryll Cohen, who is representing Jamie Spears, Britney's father and co-conservator.

Cohen said that Spears' business manager, Howard Grossman, told her of the "numerous emails" from Lutfi with the demands.

Now the Spears family also has a restraining order on Sam, but the one problem they've had is actually getting him served. That's right folks. He's a pro  at that game. One thing you also might not know is his real first name is Osama, so yes...the hunt for Osama Bin Lutfi continues.

Just yesterday I mentioned that Britney Spears was under the control of the evil little bugger Sam Lutfi. The L.A Times has reported that Sam did all kinds of evil things to the singer during his time around her, which is why the family has a restraining order on him. They want to keep him away from Britney because they believe he is a serious danger to her.

Spears' father and an attorney have been granted temporary conservatorship over her and her estate. Spears' mother, in an application for a restraining order, accused her daughter's friend and sometime manager, Sam Lutfi, of cutting the singer's phone lines, disabling her vehicles and grinding up pills to place in her food. An order was issued barring Lutfi from coming within 250 yards of the pop star.

According to sources, Spears' father filed a grand theft report after the singer was hospitalized, alleging that paintings, jewelry and other valuables had been taken from her home.

I heard he had many of her phones turned off rather then physically cutting lines, but disabling her vehicles and grinding up pills? That's diabolical. This is the guy with like three restraining orders on him and once hoped a guy's sister would be raped. I'm thinking he was pretty close to tying her to some train tracks or even worse, throwing her down in a pit and saying "it puts the lotion on it skin...."

Sam Lutfi is now under plenty of fire over the whole Britney Spears mess. Her parents got a restraining order on him and he's also taking heat for supposedly stealing from Britney.

In the latest issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now, Spears' de facto manager and confidant opens up about her bipolar disorder, how he medicated her, what happened the night she was hospitalized, and how her parents reacted.

"In the depressive episodes, it's all crying," Lutfi tells Us. "But in the manic episode, there's very little crying or sympathy or compassion. She becomes another person. She becomes somebody that just doesn't care about anybody or anything."

"The British accent is part of the mania," he adds. "She'll stick to the British accent because she becomes comfortable with it... But you know, when the pink wig comes on, it's getting bad."

So he was aware that she was sinking like the Titanic and really didn't do much except give her meds and keep her isolated from her family. Sounds like quite the friend indeed. He's also alleged to have stolen stuff from her house.

In a signed delcaration, Britney Spears' father, Jamie Spears, said his troubled daughter told him she believed her confidante, Sam Lutfi, had stolen items from her house.

"She asked me to help get it back. I told her that I would," Jamie said. Earlier this week, a police report was filed claiming "valuable possessions" were taken from Britney's house sometime between the time the pop star was admitted to UCLA's psych ward and the conservatorship papers were signed.

More troubling then him possibly stealing stuff is that fact that OK! Magazine actually posted the word "delcaration" in the story. They have tons of editors, right? So, in the last few statements here...Sam Lutfi is pretty much revealed as the evil gremlin he is.

"It won't last," he told Usmagazine.com shortly after yesterday's hearing, during which a court ordered Britney Spears to have no further contact - direct or indirect - with him.

Of Spears parents, Jamie and Lynne, Lutfi added, "They're never gonna be able to rule her forever."

He knows she's crazy by his own words, but rather then have her parents take care of her, he's fighting to have her out so he can control her himself. Evil little bugger, isn't he?
