How's that for scandal? This all happened right in my neck of the world and I actually heard about this one when this happened, but never realized it was Sanjaya's mom.

Maybe that's why Sanjaya's always got that goofy grin on his face! Turns out that Sanjy's mom, Jillian Blith, used to be a pot-growing potentate -- and that his sister Shyamali was no stranger to the art of toking herself.

The Momjaya was pinched by the Pierce County Sheriff's Department in February 2005 in Pierce County, Wash. after they found 310 marijuana plants -- and the Sis-jaya keeping watch with a bag of weed and "smoking devices" -- in the Malakar family garage, as the National Enquirer first smoked out today.

If you saw last night's show, then you know that the run of Sanjaya is finally over and that poor MySpace girl can finally eat again (she was on a hunger strike).

Ok, my theory is based off a few different points:

• The Vote the Worst movement website was being promoted by Howard Stern
• Country music sells higher then other genres (to the surprise of the labels)
• Phil Stacey has been at the bottom of the votes consistantly
• Blake Lewis has been near the top of the votes consistantly
• The vote this week was one of the highest with over 38 million votes

So, American Idol this week had country singing star Martina McBride. This had the twist of bring out fans that wouldn't normally watch the show. Country fans which has a HUGE fan base. When record companies actually learned in more recent years how well country music was selling, they were actyually shocked (they didn't know).

Phil Stacey rocked the house. No question about it and all props to him on this one, thus he ends up doing well. Blake Lewis who normally does well but was just okay this week, is down in the standings getting the lower vote.

My theory is that the huge country fan base showed up and out-voted all those people that were keeping Sanjaya in. As of this moment, I love country music now too. Yee-haw!

Well, this was the week that killed it for me. Was it the fact that Sanjaya's sister poses naked on the internet with guitars? Yes, I mean No. Whatever...read on.

It was really the fact that this week all the contestants were singing like 50-year old songs. Boooooring! It was like watching Lawrence Welk with my grandparents all over again. If you have no idea who Lawrence Welk is, then go look him up. I'm not a freaking charity here.

So anyway, American Idol does this to me every year and the show this week didn't even compel me to vote. Thank goodness for the invention of the DVR where I could just speed on through most of it. I'm also glad Blake went first. He was about the only one I watched all night, although I did stop to watch Haley. Simon is right, she has great legs.

Where was I? Oh yeah.

Just like every year...the auditions get me hooked, the beginning shows keep me mildly interested in the happenings, and then they loose me in the middle of the season.

For the love of God, I'm only in there now to see how long Sanjaya makes it. I think I've gone mental. Someone...please help me.

So that bloody Sanjaya made it through again last night. The guy wasn't even in the bottom three! How is that even possible? The world has gone mad.

Now Sanjaya's sister on the other hand is the best thing about him. She was out of the competition early, but now you might have some idea of why she worked at Hooters. Just take two guesses.

What is it going to take to get him off the show! Seriously!

If you watched last night, there was some good and some bad and then there is Sanjaya. He's not even a good karaoke singer. I suppose he can really sing if he tries, but I don't even care. It's that damn bunch of people out there that want to just mess with Idol and vote him in. After all...he looks up to fellow freak Michael Jackson and yet, every song he picks is meant to be sung by a female not a male.

Fan base? Don't you actually have to DO something to have fans? I have this blog, some podcasts, and I'm pretty sexy looking about twice a month and i don't even have his kind of fan base. It's insane!

Alas, I have a sinking feeling that he will not be voted out tonight. Grrrr!

Yes. It's true.

So until the day that Sanjya is no longer American Idol, I will be going on a hunger strike. This means I will refuse to eat anything until American Idol voters wise up, and stop voting Sanjya through each week.

How in the heck can Sanjaya Malakar keep getting voted in? I watched this week and seriously...he can't even sing! This is a singing competition people!

I was even more amazed at NBC's Today show that ran headlines two days in a row about "the comeback kid" and whatever, like he's some amazing talent. Has the world gone mad? I keep expecting to see my dog and cat start mating or something.
