Jessica Simpson heard the whole deal where Carrie Underwood said her ex-boyfriend (and Jessica's current one) Tony Romo still calls her. She decided to do some investigating.

"Tony and I both laughed at that," Simpson told Nashville radio station 107.5 The River. "We got a chuckle out of it."

Underwood, who dated the Dallas Cowboys quarterback in 2007, told Allure magazine in an interview for its September issue that sometimes "the phone will ring and it'll be [Romo], and I'll maybe not answer."

Underwood's comments are "definitely" not true, Simpson said.

So ... how does she know this?

"I looked at his call log."

Angelina Jolie is supposedly in talks to replace Mr. Katie Holmes in the espionage thriller Edwin A. Salt. What that means is that Tom will have a fit and threaten the wrath of Xenu if his wife is not in the movie, but it all could have been avoided if she just did Batman the Dark Knight. Scarlett Johansson is talking about kissing and it's not with Ryan Reynolds. It's with Penelope Cruz!

In the film, the actress shares a controversial smooch with Cruz--one that Johansson admits was more pleasant than she anticipated.

"Everybody wants to know what it was like," she says in an interview with Parade.com.   "Penelope had less facial hair than a guy so it was certainly more pleasant. It  was better than kissing Jonathan Rhys-Meyers in Match Point. Kissing him wasn't that bad, but he did have to stop and shave in the middle of a scene even though he'd shaved that morning. The man has really got some beard on him."

Jessica Simpson was passing through LAX this weekend with her boyfriend Tony Romo and she was wearing a nice, tight t-shirt that said "Real Girls Eat Meat." Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo may be dating again, but it's supposedly on a "trial basis" as long as Papa Joe Simpson keeps from butting his nose into their business.

A pal from Romo's Eastern Illinois University tells the Chicago Sun-Times that the Dallas Cowboys quarterback "did agree to go to [sister Ashlee's] wedding -- keeping his promise to Jessica, but he made it super-clear that if they were to give it another go, her dad had to seriously back off."

Their relationship, the pal added, is "a trial thing," depending on Joe "leaving them alone" and not trying to manage Romo's life, career and endorsement deals.

I've been telling you the rumors all week and now it's confirmed that Jessica Simpson is back on the market. Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo have officially split. It seems he couldn't handle her goofy behavior over the whole Mayer and Aniston thing.

"Tony did dump Jessica," a source close to the quarterback told Us. "Of course, she's upset!"

Part of the reason for the break up after only six months?

"This Jen and John Mayer thing is eating her up, and she just can't handle it - and Tony has basically had enough," a Simpson pal told Us. "She's too much to handle."

The newest issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now, reports that the day Aniston and Mayer went public as a couple, Simpson went on a four-hour drinking binge that left her so out of it, she had to call her mom for a ride home!

But there's a chance this on-again, off-again pair may reunite.

"He's broken up with her before, but I don't know if they'll get back together this time," a source tells Us.

Just last month Simpson was referring to Romo as her "future husband" and he was seen ring-shopping.

And although their relationship is done, Simpson may still have an ode to her ex beau on her new album.

I guess this is it then. She's officially been cut loose so it's now the best time to strike. Her ex-husband Nick Lachey got remarried, her ex-boyfriend John Mayer has a new lady, and now her current boyfriend just dumped her. She's  rebounding so hard that the next guy will probably close the deal by the end of dinner.
